{"id":420,"date":"2018-02-15T21:18:38","date_gmt":"2018-02-15T21:18:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fourthelm.com\/?p=420"},"modified":"2018-03-02T20:15:15","modified_gmt":"2018-03-02T20:15:15","slug":"why-this-growing-triad-construction-company-changed-its-name","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fourthelm.com\/why-this-growing-triad-construction-company-changed-its-name\/","title":{"rendered":"Why this growing Triad construction company changed its name"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"content__segment combx\">A high-profile construction company in the Triad has changed its name to avoid confusion with its sister operation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx\">GEMCAP Construction has rebranded as &#8220;Fourth Elm Construction LLC&#8221; in an attempt to distinguish itself from GEMCAP Cos.&#8217; development branch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx\">&#8220;It was just confusing to people,&#8221;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/triad\/search\/results?q=John%20Martin\">John Martin<\/a>, a partner with Justin Gibhardt in the firm, told Triad Business Journal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/triad\/news\/2015\/11\/09\/merger-creates-new-triad-real-estate-development.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Started in the summer of 2015, the construction company<\/a>\u00a0has grown to 19 employees, and had revenue of almost $20 million in 2017.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx\">Martin said the construction arm began as a complement to the company&#8217;s development projects, but soon began acquiring outside work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx\">Martin said the company was on track for sizable growth in 2018, with current projects ranging from medical office to retail, industrial and automotive facilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx\">&#8220;We&#8217;ve got serious momentum,&#8221; Martin said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment combx\">Martin said the new name was a nod to the Triad&#8217;s three largest cities.
