Superintendent

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion. Ideal candidate must be willing to travel within the the Carolinas.

Responsibilities
Enforce corporate safety policies on the jobsite, providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field.
Implement proactive pre-task safety planning for all work activities.
Supervise, coordinate and sequence contractors’ work.
Monitor performance and coordinate work to maintain productivity of trades, ensuring adequate manpower for work in place.
Develop and maintain complete and detailed project schedule and manage work in accordance with the schedule.
Coordinate and track material deliveries.
Develop site logistics plans for entire project to maximize productivity.
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by enforcing contract requirements and limiting field changes.
Assist with development of work scopes and front end documents.
Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, Tenants, and Owners.
Effective timely resolution of conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claims

Qualifications:
Ideal candidate must be willing to travel within the the Carolinas.
Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry on commercial projects greater than $1 Million
Minimum 5 years of direct supervision of projects including trades
2-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required
Local experience and contractor knowledge
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills to resolve field issues with subcontractor, design team and/or owner
OSHA 10 hour required
Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Sage 100 experience preferred
