Business Development Manager

Roles & Responsibilities May Include:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and potential clients.
  • Analyze market data to assess opportunities for growth and development within the construction sector.

Business Strategy Development:

  • Work with Business Development/Marketing team to develop comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company objectives and market demands.
  • Identify target markets, segments, and geographic areas for expansion.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define long term goals and objectives for sustainable growth.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understand client’s needs preferences and pain points to tailor solutions effectively.
  • Act as a primary point of contact (“Client Relationship Manager”, or CRM) for client inquiries, concerns, and feedback, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.

Lead Generation and conversion:

  • Generate leads through various channels such as networking, referrals, cold calling, and online platforms.
  • Qualify leads based on their viability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop persuasive proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new business opportunities.

Partnership Development:

  • Identify and engage potential partners, subcontractors, and vendors to enhance service offerings and capabilities.
  • Negotiate and establish favorable terms and agreements with partners to maximize benefits.
  • Foster relationships with industry stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and industry vendors.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Set ambitious sales targets and KPIs in alignment with business development strategies.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective lead conversion, contract negotiation and sales closure.

Market Branding and Promotion:

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and branding initiatives to enhance market visibility and brand awareness.
  • Represent the company at industry events conferences, and trade shows.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 proven experience in business development or sales role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with client and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore business opportunities.
